Dr. Jan Weber founded Menlo Park Integrative Psychiatry in 2018 after nearly 20 years of experience as a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist.

He realized that there were limited choices for clients who were looking for truly integrative mental health treatment.

Few physicians have familiarity with complementary and alternative (CAM) treatment modalities, even fewer actually practice complementary medicine, and an active collaboration with complementary therapy providers is rare.

Menlo Park Integrative Psychiatry solves this problem by combining state of the art evidence-based child, adolescent and adult psychiatry with nutritional medicine and homeopathy, and by collaborating with vetted providers of other forms of complementary medicine, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and naturopathy.

Dr. Weber trained at some of the most prestigious programs in child and adolescent as well as adult psychiatry, including Stanford University, Baylor College of Medicine and the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry. He is double board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine.

Dr. Weber trained as the first ever official visiting student of Mumbai University with Rajan Sankaran, one of the international leaders in the field of homeopathy.  He has subsequently continued his homeopathic studies with Rajan Sankaran and Jayesh Shah, another international leader in the field of homeopathy.  He is also influenced by the work of Jan Scholten. Dr. Weber also studied at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, one of the premier US schools of energy healing, and holds a vocational diploma of the Academy of Intuition Medicine®.

Dr. Weber has held various leadership positions throughout his career, including being the Chief of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Vice-Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry of Santa Clara County.  He also served as the Psychiatric Medical Director of Santa Cruz County and was a board member of two non-profit organizations.

In his free time, Dr. Weber loves to sail, travel and spend time with his family.

Philosophy - Holistic Care

Menlo Park Integrative Psychiatry combines state of the art child, adolescent and adult psychiatry with integrative treatment modalities, such as nutrition and homeopathy, in order to achieve unparalleled treatment outcomes.

Evidence based Psychiatry

Menlo Park Integrative Psychiatry is dedicated to using state of the art psychiatric treatments that have been shown in studies to be safe and effective.

After a thorough diagnostic evaluation (which includes a detailed intake questionnaire and other screening tools) we will have an in-depth discussion of available treatment options, as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

Treatment options include psychotherapy, psychotropic medications, dietary interventions/nutritional supplements, homeopathy or a referral to other specialists - either alone or in combination.

We will then tailor your treatment program to your personal preferences and needs.

The effectiveness of treatment will be assessed at each visit and the treatment will be modified as needed, until you have achieved your treatment goal.

Nutritional Medicine

Menlo Park Integrative Psychiatry recognizes that good nutrition is essential in health and wellbeing.

We try to optimize nutrition and also use nutritional supplements in the treatment of psychiatric conditions.

Nutritional supplements are often better tolerated than psychotropic medications and can provide a safer alternative or adjunct treatment to psychotropic medications.

And when used concurrently with psychotropic medications, nutritional supplements may allow for the use of a lower dose of medication.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a form of energy medicine which was founded in Germany in 1810 and as such is significantly older than Western Medicine as currently practiced.

Homeopathy assumes the existence of a vital force/energy that regulates all physical and mental functioning and that it is most often the disturbance of this vital force/energy that causes chronic illness and needs to be treated. This philosophy sets it fundamentally apart from Western Medicine, which considers illness mostly to be a physical (versus energetic) phenomenon.

Homeopathy uses extremely diluted substances, which are typically very gentle in their action, which makes homeopathy one of the safest treatments available. Homeopathy does not use any painful or unpleasant treatments, and as such is perfectly suited for children or clients who can't tolerate other interventions.

Treatment with homeopathy can be curative, i.e. symptoms permanently improve (in contrast to Western Medicine, which is mostly symptomatic, i.e. symptoms improve as long as a medication is being taken, but then return once the medication has been discontinued).

Homeopathy is also holistic and affects one's energy, thoughts, feelings, as well as the body. Healing often happens on all levels (for example, a patient treated for mental health conditions might also notice an improvement of physical health).

Testimonials

Dr. Weber has been a huge support to our family during a confusing time of mental health challenges! He is knowledgeable, warm, kind and very calming. One of the things that I most appreciate about him is his steady, clear manner. He is truly an advocate for health, he wants the best for his patients and balances out traditional approaches with the more holistic! I am very grateful for his support, expertise and guidance!

I was looking for a family therapist who also would be able to look at lab testing for my daughter for any nutritional deficiencies and I found Dr. Jan Weber!  Dr. Weber spent a good 45 mins on the phone prior to me booking a session.  He was very considerate when answering all of my questions and discussing options, even including options that didn't involve him.

Dr Weber has such a calm demeanor which made it comfortable for my 14 year old daughter.  When I attended some sessions, I really appreciated Dr Weber's curiosity about what was the situations happening.  In a few sessions, Dr Weber was able to help mend some conflicts/communication concerns within the family.  If any future situations come up, I would definitely book him again.

It is difficult - almost impossible - in my experience as a parent to find a psychiatrist who truly and painstakingly creates a mental health treatment plan for adolescents [and] works as a team with other providers such as therapists/school/primary doctor, etc. for the benefit of the patient. We are fortunate to be receiving his services.

The knowledge and results obtained with Doctor Weber are hard to find. In addition having the options of homeopathy and psychotropic medication options.

If you are seriously looking for an effective, whole approach treatment, we recommend Dr. Weber 100%!!! :)

I am incredibly grateful to have been connected with Dr Weber through my integrative primary care provider. The level of mutual respect is beyond anything I have experienced in the medical system. It's truly a collaborative approach - working together, along with my other providers. Dr Weber is a deep listener, and similarly digs deep to match treatment options with the information he collects. I am grateful to have a full range of options and tools, including traditional medications, homeopathy, and integrative, non-medical aspects such as books and courses that have enriched my life.

There is so much to say about Dr. Weber! First, he has a ton of experience with kids. He has seen it all and knows exactly how you, as the parent or caregiver, is feeling. In fact, what surprised me when we first started seeing Dr. Weber was his ability to articulate and explain what I was feeling even before I knew what I was feeling. Second, he is very compassionate and caring about both the patient and caregivers. He listens to the kids and is empathetic with what they are going through. Additionally, he listens without judgement. Third, I am wary about giving western medicine to kids and Dr. Weber is one of the few practitioners that is really experienced with and knowledgeable about alternative medicines. He is able to recommend and explain what and how each medicine can help your child. Lastly, because Dr. Weber is so experienced, he is also one of the few people that has experience with kids that have RAD (and I’m sure many other rare disorders). I highly recommend Dr. Weber to anyone looking for a psychiatrist to help with their children and family.

Dr. Weber is a colleague with whom I share multiple patients. He is deeply thorough, discerning and caring. He treats his patients with integrity and respect. "Everything in my life felt better" was the comment of one patient. I hold him in the highest regard.

Jan helped me through a really tough time in my life. His understanding of homeopathic medicine was what brought me to him, and I found myself 80% improved within just a few months. I’m very appreciate of Jan and would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for an amazing psychiatrist with a vast toolkit for helping with mental health.

Love the integrative and holistic approach, been searching for years for something just like this and couldn’t be happier!

Dr. Webber is an exceptional psychiatric doctor whose approach is very comprehensive. He employs a range of treatment options, including homeopathic remedies, supplements, and stimulants, carefully tailoring his approach to each patient's needs. One of the remarkable aspects of his practice is that he starts with the mildest interventions and gradually introduces additional measures as necessary. Notably, the methods he employs have no discernible side effects. Under Dr. Webber's care, all the major symptoms we experienced were effectively managed, and a sense of normality was restored to our lives. We are immensely grateful for the positive impact he has had on our well-being. Having been under his care for approximately two years, we have witnessed firsthand the impressive and noticeable results of his comprehensive approach. I appreciate Dr. Webber for his expertise and commitment in delivering a highly effective treatment.

Magali C.

Incredibly effective! Dr. Weber was recommended to us by my daughter's therapist. We were looking for an alternative to pharmaceutical treatment in order to help my daughter with her anxiety, depression and food restriction issues. After a detailed intake session, Dr Weber identified a homeopathic remedy that provided relief within a week. My daughter is herself again with energy for school, a job and friends. It has been a year since we started the treatment and we've had to adjust the dosage once. Since homeopathic treatment can take up to 2 years, she continues to see Dr. Weber to evaluate her process and dosage. I highly recommend talking with Dr. Weber to see if your child is a good fit for this type of treatment. We are very grateful!

Meredith V.

Dr. Weber is the first psychiatrist I've worked with and I was nervous about seeing a psychiatrist and the whole process. Dr. Weber was very professional and kind and made the process easy. I got a diagnosis and Dr. Weber was great at explaining what the diagnosis is and how it applies. He is also insightful on steps I could take to improve. I was also nervous about getting on medication for anxiety and Dr. Weber uses homeopathy instead of traditional meds which I was certain homeopathy wouldn't be enough for how debilitating my anxiety was. The homeopathic remedy I'm on has been a life saver and worked right away. I am so grateful and am glad I found Dr. Weber!
